Non-Assist Flares
Non-assist or utility flares burn gases that typically will not smoke when flared. Gases that are typically burned in a non-assisted flare include:
- Hydrogen
- H2S
- Methanol
- Ammonia
- Methane
When designing a non-assisted flare system, it is important to work with a knowledgeable flare designer to achieve optimal safety and operational efficiency. Non-assisted flares must meet 40CFR63.670 and since gases flared have less BTU/scf, velocity is a critical issue to consider. EnviroPro flare experts are knowledgeable and experienced in non-assisted applications. Contact us to discuss your project.
